TIPI method to reduce stress and anxiety

What is the protocol of the TIPI method?

But how does it work?

Stress and / or anxiety is actually a vicious cycle.

You may be stressed because you are currently having a difficult relationship with something or someone that can cause uncertain and anxious thoughts and your body responds to this with tension headaches and the production of stress hormones.

Then you will be even more concerned about the headache or the initial problem, which will trigger further anxiety.

The need to solve this "problem" as quickly as possible suddenly becomes even greater due to this stress, which activates the mode of operation again. And the circle remains intact.

Overcome fear by living it in the body

The interplay between all of these thoughts and the physical reactions to those thoughts is, of course, totally unconscious, but is your everyday reality.

The TIPI Method is a name for various attention-focused exercises.

Today's TIPI Method is a guided thinking exercise with which you will examine your obstructing thoughts in order to learn to treat yourself with more loving attention.

How does this method work?

By simply connecting to bodily sensations present during an unwanted emotional or behavioral pattern and observing them as they evolve, as they transform, without acting or attempting to make them disappear in any way whether it be.

During a regular T.I.P.I session, the practitioner sets aside about half an hour, and this can be done over the phone or in person.

In both cases, the client is seated comfortably, the practitioner then talks to them about reliving a specific situation in which the client has recently experienced the emotional difficulty that he has come to resolve.

This part of the session is tailored to each client, based on their needs.

The client remains fully aware during the whole process.

By reliving the situation "properly", the client's body's natural healing ability will take over and resolve the problem by releasing the blockage that makes it difficult.

When the block is released, the client usually enters a calm state and the session is terminated.

How to breathe during the TIPI method?

Using slow, deep breathing

The good news is that we can change this breathing rate, and the Loris, Breathing Coach method can help you regain a long, deep breath.

One of the goals of his method is to interrupt this respiratory automatism by exercising our consciousness in "conscious breathing control" to produce a slower and deeper rhythm and quality of breathing.

Long and deep breathing with its diaphragm: a listening exercise.

When we breathe quickly, we are not using all of the muscles involved in breathing.

With a long and deep breathing, we find a complete respiratory flow in which all the respiratory muscles are involved including the diaphragm, the lungs are filled to capacity, in particular the lower zone which is the one with the most capillaries and where occurs the greatest exchange of oxygen in the blood.

The benefits of long, deep breathing.

By slowing down our breath, we can receive many benefits:

- It makes you calm and relaxed, thanks to the stimulation of the parasympathetic nervous system.

- It purifies and oxygenates the blood, it increases the flow of oxygen to the brain and the body, accelerating the physical and emotional healing processes.

It allows you to fight depression.
