Sleep is essential for our well-being.

It allows us to recharge our batteries, to approach the day with dynamism and kindness.

There is also a time when our brain records the information received during the day.

However, some people are worried about not sleeping.

Fear of Not Sleeping

Stress and anxiety can cause insomnia. Identifying thoughts or anticipating an important event the next day can delay falling asleep and disrupt sleep.

And insomnia itself can cause anxiety: the fear of not sleeping.

Indeed, being in bed without being able to sleep, watching the hours pass on the alarm clock, changing position ... ends up generating stress.

This sensation is registered in the reptilian brain, which associates the bed and the act of going to bed as dangerous.

The negative emotions felt then get stuck in the unconscious.

Every evening, the reptilian brain sets off the warning signals in front of this bed, which it considers to be a danger.

The fear of not sleeping comes back again and again, every day, to the point of phobia.

The impacts of this fear are felt on a daily basis, because disturbed sleep causes extreme fatigue, annoyance, reduced concentration, appetite disorders ...

Fortunately, it is possible to break this vicious circle and cure her fear of not sleeping and her insomnia.

Solution to cure your phobia of insomnia

Simple measures can be observed to promote falling asleep and quality of sleep.

For example, it is best not to stand in front of a screen before sleeping.

Stimulating drinks such as coffee for example will be reserved in the morning, in moderation.
